A hydrocele denotes a pathological accumulation of serous fluid in a body cavity. A hydrocele testis is the accumulation of fluid around the testicoloed to be fairly common. It can be treated surgically. It can occur in infants who undergo peritoneal dialysis.
A hydrocele testis is due to the fluid secreted by the rest of peritoneum wrapped around the testicular tunica vaginalis. It can also be as a result of cancer, trauma (such as a hernia), or orchitis. It can also be the result of an inguinal lymph system plugged caused by repeated chronic infection of the Bancroft or Wucher of Brugia Malay, two mosquito-borne parasite in Africa and SE Asia, respectively. As such the condition would be a part of more widespread consequences commonly referred to as elephantiasis.
