Symptoms and complications of urethral narrowing

Bookmark and Share
Complaints are often not clearly. The signs of a narrowing of the urethra are not typical for this disease. You could also indicate other diseases. The following symptoms may occur:

     Burning during urination
Weak urinary stream. The urine can be rotated or shared.
Complete urinary retention. This rare complete impossibility of urination is an emergency.
     frequent urination

Higher risk for urinary tract infections
By narrowing the urethra, the resistance is increased urination. This leads often to a greater amount of residual urine that remains after urinating in the bladder. This in turn leads to more frequent urinary tract infections.

complications

An untreated urethral narrowing over time leads to an increased residual urine, which favors the occurrence of urinary tract infections. As a result of increased bladder pressure may arise protuberances of the bladder wall (diverticula) and possibly a kidney accumulation, which leads to damage to the kidneys.

recurrences
In the therapy is the main complication of surgical procedures the recurrence of the narrowing (relapse).
