Vas deferens and seminal vesicles

The vas deferens, a 50-60 cm long corridor begins at the tail of the epididymis, first rises to over the inguinal canal, runs past the side of the bladder and enters the one lying behind and below the bladder prostate. Just above this confluence point they take on the ducts of the seminal vesicles, which produce an alkaline secretion. Only under the influence of this secretion by then immobilized sperm become motile. Inside, in the seminal vesicles, there is a network of major and minor mucus folds that delimit a labyrinth of chambers and pits. When you are in it too isolated sperm found, it is called "seminal vesicles" wrongly, as it is not a reservoir for sperm, but a gland. His Ausführgang unites with the vas deferens to Ausspritzungsgang.

Prostate gland (prostate)

The prostate gland, prostate, is a solid body about the size of chestnuts, which includes the urethra ring. With its base it is oriented toward the bladder. It secretes a milky secretion, whose job it is to dilute the sperm concentrate. It is delivered together with the sperm during ejaculation into the urinary seed tube. This runs from the bladder through the prostate, pelvic floor and to the glans penis. They open into the ducts of mucous gland one whose secretion makes the residual urine remains ineffective.
