Complaints in urinary tract infections

Pains and urination problems are a clear indication
Depending on the severity of a urinary tract infection manifests differently. An infection of the lower urinary tract (urethra, bladder) is expressed mainly by:

     burning pain on urination
     Pain in lower abdomen
     Cramping pain and possibly above the pubic bone
     Dysuria: difficult urination
     Urinary: frequent urge for urination with only small amounts of urine
     Nocturia: increased urination at night
     Strangury: not to be suppressed urination with burning, soreness and pain during urination
     Hematuria: blood in urine


Inflammation of the renal pelvis lead to severe malaise and must often be treated in hospital
The infection from spreading further, it may lead to pyelonephritis. Then the following symptoms:

     high fever, possibly chills
     severe malaise
     nausea
     constipation
     Pain in the kidney (flank pain), often one-sided
     back pain
     Urinary: frequent urge for urination with only small amounts of urine
     Dysuria: difficult urination
     Tachycardia: rapid heart beat to


Symptoms in children
In children, it is due to a renal pelvic inflammation often with atypical symptoms dislike drinking, lethargy, fever and abdominal pain and frequent nocturnal enuresis.
