Efferent seminal ducts

The aisles of the testicles network, the ducts of the testis open into the duct system of the epididymis (epididymis). The epididymis, which rest against the back of the testicles serve, the final maturation of sperm and their storage. The duct system of the epididymis is highly folded. Subtracting it apart, then gives a distance of 5 meters. The corridor is completely filled with sperm cells, which mature and finally here are enriched with a secretion. This secretion ensures that the energy of the sperm is not prematurely exhausted by inhibiting the movement of sperm. The transit time of spermatozoa through the Nebenhodenkanälchen is usually 8 to 17 days. Non-functional sperm are destroyed in the epididymis.

The vas deferens enters the injection channel, which opens into the urethra.
The epididymis is the vas deferens over (see chart of the male sex organs). The vas deferens or ductus deferens is about 50 inches long. He is a tube, the blood vessels, nerves and the spermatic cord contains. The vas deferens passes through the inguinal canal into the abdominal cavity. There, he draws an arc on the lower side wall of the bladder. After an expansion (ampoule) narrows the vas deferens and passes into the injection channel (ejaculatory duct) over. The ejaculatory duct passes through the prostate and then opens into the urethra.
