Pain in the penis

A frequent cause is inflammation.
Pain in the penis is often caused by inflammatory processes. The reasons may vary.

     Inflammation of the inner leaf of the foreskin and the glans (balanitis).
     (Erysipelas) in the area of the penis (streptococcal infection)
     urethritis
     Infections of the lower urinary tract with radiating pain in the penis


Pain during erection.
If any pain during erection, so this may be due to eg a bruise or swelling of the penis. Also possible is a kinked penis during erection (penile curvature) as the cause of pain or a connective tissue hardening in the corpora cavernosa of the penis. This disease is chronic and even Sclerosis penis, Peyronie's disease Peyronie's disease or known.


Surgery and injections can reverberate.
Penis pain can be caused by surgery of the genitourinary tract, or by foreign bodies after injections.
