Spermatocele

A spermatocele (gr spermatos: "sperm" + kele: "break") is a benign cyst or fluid-filled break at one or more parts of the vas deferens. The fluid contains sperm (hence the name). Spermatocele usually found at the upper end of the epididymis at the top of the testicle. They can be very small, but also big and clearly visible, and they can occur on one side or both sides. They can be unpleasant and painful, or even not be felt. In fact, the finding is not unusual, but remember, many men have nothing and no complaints. The causes are unknown.

therapy

A simple, small spermatocele requires no treatment. This is true even if it is large, but otherwise asymptomatic. But if they continue or increase in size causing pain, then surgery may be necessary to remove the spermatocele ie a "Spermatozelektomie".
