Bookmark and Share

The kidneys have many functions. They are among the vital organs. If both kidneys and a data subject is not treated, it leads inevitably to death. The diverse functions of the kidneys is based on a complex structure. Therefore it makes sense to gradually closer look at the structure.

If you cut a kidney longitudinally, as different colored areas are visible, the renal cortex (renal cortex) and the renal medulla (renal medulla). Latin is the kidney Ren, therefore ending all renal medical terms with the word part. The adrenal cortex is the outside and surrounds through to the renal medulla Nierenhilum. On Nierenhilum the renal cortex is slightly pulled inward.

The renal medulla, which is inside, is made from about 10 to 12 marks pyramids. These are referred to as renal Pyramis. The tip of the renal pyramids show the Nierenhilum. This pyramid is in itself of several papillae (renal papilla), each of which a small "single kidney" form.

ede papilla leads into their own open cup kidney (renal calix). All cups are narrowed in the direction of flow of urine, and finally unite together in the renal pelvis (renal pelvis). The renal pelvis is in the Bay kidney (renal sinus). The final spur that ureter (ureter), leaves the kidney at the hilum towards the bubble
